Bujstina to Motovun

Another beautiful day in Croatia.  The highlight of the day was our destination -- Motovun.  Motovun was just jaw-dropping beautiful.  But first we had to get there.  We left the hotel Parenzna at our usual 8:30 and were dodging rain most of the day.  We cycled through Alen's village again then east toward Sterna.  From Sterna sourtheast to the little villeage of Sveta Lucija.

Soon after Zrenj we had a steep decent (around 20%) that won Valerie the pink shoelace - for bravery.  We stopped for an early lunch in Opatjia to get out of the rain.  After lunch on toward Motovun.

We holed up at the Truffle shop one more time to wait our the rain and then the climb up to Motovun.  The climb wasn't too bad until we got to the cobblestones and the tourists.  We made thru the first gate, but after that we had to get off an walk the rest of the way.

Tomorrow is a free day in Motovun.  It will be nice to spend some free time in the city.
